Amidst challenging conditions and intense competition, Leverage Paintball secured a commendable third place at the NXL Event #2 Dallas, known as the Lone Star Open. The journey to the podium was fraught with hurdles, not least of which was the severe storm that impacted the event, leading to flooded fields and a demanding playing environment.

The semifinal against the formidable Greenville Growl was a heart-stopping affair, with both teams vying fiercely for a spot in the finals. In a closely contested match, we narrowly missed advancing, with a final score that saw us just one point shy of a finals berth. The disappointment, however, only fueled our determination as we prepared to face Ology for the third-place showdown.

The third-place match against Ology was nothing short of dramatic. Delayed due to earlier storms, the game commenced on a waterlogged field, adding an unpredictable element to the already tense atmosphere. Both teams were challenged not only by each other's strategies and skills but also by the demanding conditions underfoot.

Despite the adversity, Leverage Paintball displayed remarkable resilience and adaptability. The match extended into a long-drawn battle, with both teams exchanging leads until Leverage edged out a 2-1 victory. This win was not just about securing third place; it was a testament to our team's spirit and ability to overcome extraordinary circumstances.

This third-place finish at the Dallas Lone Star Open is a proud moment for Leverage Paintball. It reflects our team's grit and commitment under pressure and highlights our capability to compete at the highest levels, even in less than ideal conditions.
