3rd Place NXL Event #4 Chicago - Windy City Major

In a fiercely competitive atmosphere at the NXL Event #4 Chicago, known as the Windy City Major, Leverage Paintball once again secured a commendable third place. While we’re proud of our performance, there’s a lingering sense of disappointment as we know our team is capable of even more.

Our journey to the podium began with a strong showing in the prelims, where we dominated our bracket, finishing 4-0. This impressive record earned us a direct advancement to the quarterfinals with a well-deserved bye. In the quarters, we faced off against Clutch City Oilers in Ochos, delivering an outstanding performance and securing a decisive 6-1 victory—a true testament to our skill and teamwork.

However, the semifinals proved to be a challenging encounter against the New York Wrecking Crew. Despite our best efforts, we faced an upsetting loss, finishing 5-2. This setback pushed us into the battle for third and fourth place, where we were determined to end on a high note.

In the third-place match, we went head-to-head with the KC Missouri All Stars. Leverage showcased our resilience and tactical prowess, achieving a mercy win of 6-1. This victory solidified our position, but we couldn’t shake the feeling that we had more to give.

Despite the disappointment of not advancing to the finals, we remain #1 overall and in contention for the coveted first-place Pro Spot. With one event left in the series, securing a fourth-place finish or higher at the World Cup is essential for our goal.

We are incredibly proud of our team’s hard work and commitment, and we are grateful for the unwavering support from our fans and community. This tournament has provided us with valuable lessons and experiences, which we will carry into our preparations for the World Cup.
